An environmental portrait is not done in the portrait studio; it is done in a context – often a context whose surroundings communicate something of what the services the businessperson provides.
This is a good example of my Dallas environmental portraits. This person deals in high-end homes and her business headshot reveals it is a luxury setting in fine clothes and the lighting also communicates wealth and class.
Environmental portraits take more work in lighting and setup but are well worth it. This one is one of a series and is cropped in close, focusing on the face and not showing that much of the settings, but you get the idea. These were taken in Plano, near Frisco and North Dallas.
