This is a more "serious" look for executive headshots and business portraits. The lack of color in the clothes means that the only color in the photo is in the face. So this style has the advantage of putting all the focus, right where you want it most - on the face.

But it is too heavy and serious for some industries (for real estate or for a therapist, for example). The monochromatic (black or white) clothing means you are serious about your work. This is great for certain industries where you need to show a high degree of competency - financial, legal, and medical industries.
